THE "PERKS" TO PRIVATE TRAINING

1. Historically, Private Training always had a major flaw in that it could not provide for the distracting and socializing that dogs needed. We have fixed that flaw by allowing you, and other private clients, to come to our Group Training Classes for free for the lifetime of your dog(s).

2. Private Lessons are offered at Singleton’s in Chino.

3. The program consists of 7 lessons (Yes! This is much more than most dogs need but we’d rather offer too much than too little). Lessons are booked as we go, not all 7 in advance, to allow for the bumps in the road that can occur, i.e. spaying, castrating, illness, vacations, slow learning, etc. The first lesson is normally 1.5 hours with the others being 1 hour each.

4. All lessons are video taped live (all trainers have camcorders and tripods) so that if any family members are unable to attend you have the ability to get everyone "on the same page" in the training of your dog(s). Because everything is recorded, you can consider this to be a lifetime investment in that you’ll have a complete video series to refer to for the the training of your next puppy / dog.

We cover everything from houses soiling to fence jumping.

5. Private training covers everything you need: on and off leash obedience and all problem solving such as fear, jumping, chewing, digging, housesoiling, running, biting, barking, boundary control, etc. and Movie Tricks. We will be working from the "Priority List" that you provide for us and also from your trainer’s professional insight into you and your dog’s needs.

6. Lifetime Guarantee. (With 2 exceptions: phobias and aggression. Although these 2 areas are our specialties we cannot guarantee them due to their liability.)

7. We’re very big on not removing the dog from the dog!!! That they can jump, but only when invited; that they can chew this, not that; they can get on this sofa, not that one; they poo here not there; they can only leave the house or yard when given permission and only by a family member or pet sitter (not by a cat, neighbor kid, a ball is rolling into the street!); etc.

8. You may request to have the same trainer all the time or you may try a different trainer (no one’s feelings will get hurt!). All the trainers are professionals - not apprentices with many years of experience. We all use the same techniques (non-abuse) so the difference would lie of course in the trainer’s style of presentation and personality. We will select a trainer for you based on your location (if you’re an in-home client) and your availability. We will then have that trainer call you to set-up your first lesson.

If you have anyquestion as to whether you want that individual as your trainer, right then or in the future, please call 909-622-7438 to request someone else.Your satisfaction is everyone’s first concern. More often than not, your dog will adjust fine to any trainer you work with.

9. If your lessons are held at Singleton’s and you have more than one dog:

$ ________ 1st Dog

$ ________ 2nd Dog The second dog is 1/2 cost!

$ ________ 3rd Dog The 3rd dog is 1/2 cost, etc.

$ ________ Total

If your lessons are held at your home and you have more than one pet (including dogs, cats, birds, etc.) They are all included for the same fee as one dog! $ _______.

AVAILABLE LESSON TIMES:

Evenings are very popular, and consequently, most often booked. If you can book some, most, or all (!) of your appointments to begin on or before 4 p.m., you will be able to have pretty much your choice of times and be able to complete the program sooner. If you can only book in the evenings after 4:00, we will try our hardest to see you once a week, but sometimes you may need to see your trainer at 10 or 14 day intervals. THIS DOES NOT HURT THE DOG’S PROGRESS AT ALL! If anything, it simply allows more time for you to improve you and your dog’s skill level.

With highly competent trainers, many days and times are available for lessons. If you are speaking to our voice mail, please give us 2 - 4 different dates and times that are good for you. Remember, we often book about 2 weeks in advance.

Please remember to give 24 hours notice when cancelling appointments.

TELEPHONE CALLS:

Please, this is very important: If you’re needing a call back, leave us your best telephone numbers and how early and how late we can call your home without disturbing anyone. Please allow a maximum of 48 hours for a call back (maybe a little longer over weekends and holidays). Thanks.

BREAKS IN TRAINING:

Again, taking a break does not hurt the dog’s progress! If we’re on vacation or at a conference, or if you need a vacation, and are not taking your dog, please do go. When you get home and begin training again, book an appointment for 4-7 days later.

If you need to alter your dog, please do not wait until the programs end. Do it now and we will simply take a break. Also, if you are boarding your dog with us and she comes into season and we do not have your permission to spay her, we will need to board her at another approved facility until she goes out of season. Or, at our discretion, she may be able to go home.

It is VERY important to submit the Personality Profile for a complete personalized training program to be developed.
