VISITATIONS

Will your dog forget you? Simply answered: NO! Does your dog forget the vet/groomer/mailman that hurt him/her after just one encounter? No. Please don’t worry about this – Not only is your dog not going to forget you or hold a grudge against you, they’re having the time of their lives!

You may call to check on your dog as often as you’d like.

You may visit your dog as soon as he/she has been here 7-10 days and has bonded with us; weekly one hour visits are probably not going to disturb our training regime.

You must call the 24-48 hours before your visit so we can make a way for you to get into the property. Please , when you leave your message regarding your next day visit, tell us what time(s) is/are best for you.

If you make an appointment to visit don't be a "No Show". We go through some trouble to allow you access to the property, so please keep your visitation appointments.

Like you, we’re very busy and try to squeeze every minute out of the day, but you’re welcome to arrive early and relax on the porch until your appointment arrives. On the other hand, if you are late, we can hold your appointment time for 15 minutes only.

IMPORTANT: If you don’t call the day before then you won’t be able to visit. Do not “stop by” unannounced. Please remember that this is a home, along with a place of business and we don’t want to be put into a position of having to be rude and deny your request to see your friend. Your understanding is much appreciated.

When you visit, remember not to command your dog (I.E. “sit”, “down”, etc). For now, you are simply his/her playmate and if you attempt to command, it could undermine our training and further the gap between you and us. We don’t want the dog to realize that you still don’t know what you’re doing! Don’t be surprised if the dog still jumps on you (you’ll want to dress in doggie clothes for your visits). We will take care of all of this on your graduation day if it was part of the program you purchased.

You’re welcome to bring a picnic, play ball, etc and stay for up to an hour if you’d like. You may want to bring your leash and grooming brush when you visit. If your dog is getting too dirty for your liking, you’re welcome to go to “Pet Bath USA” in LaVerne (593-8602) and bathe your dog yourself, or Jeannie is a mobile grooming service that can come to Singleton’s. Call early for an appointment.

  • Jeannie's mobile grooming
  • Best times for us are M-F 8-Noon
  • 1-866-818-PETS or 909-753-2393

Please do not ask us to work your dog for you prior to the final day of training – we do not like to show a partially trained dog.

Due to the barking problem in the back yard when a “stranger” arrives, I’m requesting that all visitations happen in the front yard.
